The Story So Far
An independent Southern label launched with a mission to carry Southern music forward across every genre it has ever produced — blues, soul, Hip Hop, R&B, and everything in between.
The label's first active artist joins the roster. Her debut album Receipts & Red Flags is a Southern Hip Hop and R&B statement that hits as hard as it sounds.
The second artist joins the roster. Silas Crow brings Delta blues and Southern rock — raw, unhurried, and deeply rooted. His debut album Love, Liquor & Bad Decisions is in production and set to follow Vyda's release.
The label's official home goes live, representing all three artists under the Velvet Empire Music Group name.
Ora Mae is in development at Velvet Empire Music Group. Her debut album is on its way — the deep Southern blues and soul tradition, done right. Details coming soon.
